CloudHost Panel requires a license key to run. The key is issued by the seller at no extra cost after you buy the panel on BuiltByBit — there is nothing additional to purchase, subscribe to, or sign up for. This page explains exactly how you receive and activate it.

How you get your key

From purchase to a running panel — the whole process takes a few minutes of your time.

Purchase the panel on BuiltByBit

Complete your purchase as usual. No license-related action is needed at checkout.

Receive your key via BuiltByBit conversation

After the purchase, the seller sends your personal license key in a private BuiltByBit conversation — normally within 24 hours, usually much faster. If you have not heard back after 24 hours, just message the seller through your purchase page.

Enter the key during installation

Install the panel following the included documentation, then paste the key on the license page (Admin → License). Activation is instant.

The key binds to your domain

On first activation the license is locked to the domain you run the panel on. Moving to a new domain later is no problem — contact the seller and the binding is reset for you.

The key costs nothing on top of your BuiltByBit purchase. There are no subscriptions, renewals, or hidden fees.

One license, one installation

Each purchase covers one production installation on one domain. Need a second installation? That requires a second purchase.

Works offline-tolerant

The panel checks the license against our server periodically. Short outages or connectivity hiccups will not lock you out — there is a built-in grace period.

Local test environments

Development setups on localhost for testing your own configuration are fine and do not consume your domain binding.

Updates included

Panel updates are delivered through the built-in updater and verified against your license — at no extra cost.

Your data stays yours

The license check transmits only the key, your panel domain, and the panel version — no customer data, no usage analytics.

Is the license server I depend on publicly reachable?
Yes. The license server runs at narvyx.de and is operated by Narvyx (the maker of CloudHost). You can verify its availability at any time before purchasing — if this page is online, the server is reachable.
What happens if the license server is ever discontinued?
In the unlikely event the licensing service is shut down permanently, all existing customers will be provided with a way to keep their installations running. You will not lose a panel you paid for.
Can I move my panel to a different domain?
Yes. Contact the seller via BuiltByBit conversation, and the domain binding of your key is reset so you can activate on the new domain. This is free.
I lost my license key. What now?
No problem — message the seller from the BuiltByBit account you purchased with, and your key will be re-sent to you.
Does the panel "phone home" or send my customers' data anywhere?
No. The only outbound calls are the periodic license validation (key, domain, version) and the update check. Your business and customer data never leave your server.
